This regulator is integrated into a hydraulic circuit diagram for a hydrostatic spindle guide with 4 pockets. The PM regulator consists of the connection block, pump pressure, and a varying number of regulating discs.
The advantage of this concept and the regulator in a series configuration is that all pocket pressures can be centrally measured at a branch of the regulator-pocket hydrostatic line near the regulator, and that the regulator can be easily replaced, for example in case of contamination.
The lines between the regulator and the hydrostatic pockets should be kept as small as possible.
