MECSPE 2023, Bologna.
At the end of March 2023, we were present at one of the most important trade fairs together with LICAT Srl and our partners YYC and SBC.
A journey into the future of industry between new technologies, energy transition and digital transformation. The 21ᵃ edition of MECSPE, the main Italian exhibition dedicated to the manufacturing industry, organised by Senaf, closed with a boom of visitors. 59,845 thousand professionals (+52% compared to 2022) filled the pavilions of BolognaFiere in the three-day event conceived to celebrate the excellence of the sector, multiply business opportunities for companies and create new connections among companies, institutions and sector operators. A success that involved not only Italian companies, but also international ones, with the presence of no less than 9 delegations of visitors from foreign countries (Algeria, Egypt, Germany, India, Morocco, Poland, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey) in addition to the first Italo-German Summit on the themes of reshoring and new mobility.
The 2023 edition of MECSPE, that counted 2,034 exhibitors and 20 special initiatives, opened with an inaugural event attended, among the others, also by Maurizio Marchesini, Confindustria’s Vice President for Supply Chains and Medium-Sized Enterprises. It was the occasion to present the data of the MECSPE Observatory, which certified the excellent state of health of the supply chain: almost 8 out of 10 companies closed the last four months of 2022 with a growing or stable turnover compared to the same period of last year, to which is added the high level of satisfaction related to the trend of their company (positive for 68% of the sample). In addition, half of the companies believe they have the necessary skills for the 4.0 transformation. An important challenge that will contribute, according to projections, to the hiring of 385,330 new employees[1] between now and the end of May.
